Our Building for Business Campaign involves more than raising funds for our new business building complex. It is a multi-faceted fundraising initiative that encompasses three major funds: The Building Complex Fund, The Growth and Excellence Fund, and the Securing our Future Fund. Given dwindling public funding for higher education in Florida, our continuing increase in enrollment, and our mandate to provide the highest quality education supported by top-notch faculty, state-of-the-art facilities and technology infrastructure, we must rely on the support of our entire community to ensure that our graduates are ready—and will be ready in the future—to lead economic growth in South Florida. More than 80% of our graduates live and work in this region, and about 20% of them start their own businesses, so their futures are intricately linked to those of all of us who live and work in South Florida.
